Self-paced and gentle to the user, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is a wonderful introduction to energy healing work, as the recipient actively participates in the session and learns tools he or she can employ again in the future. EFT has been shown to support users experiencing both emotional and physical discomfort. EFT draws on various theories of alternative medicine, including acupuncture, energy healing, neuro-linguistic programming, and Thought Field Therapy. EFT also combines elements of cognitive behavioural therapy, exposure therapy, and somatic stimulation.
By stimulating acupressure points through tapping (or rubbing if tapping is painful due to physical impairments), while simultaneously focusing on situations which have created trauma in the body/mind/spirit (or exclusively on the impact of the trauma to begin with if the traumatic event is too difficult to work on initially), you will experience a neutralization of the distressing emotions or physical discomfort. As you continue your tapping practice, the intensity of these emotions and sensations will steadily decrease until, eventually, the event which gave rise to the energetic disturbance has no further impact on your physical and/or emotional state.
Anyone can begin an EFT practice at home using the information freely available at www.emofree.com , however many people need additional support to get started with their EFT practice, choosing to work with a coach who can support them in developing their affirmation statements and reminder phrases, and who can help them to work through the technique so that they can experience the process without having to constantly refer to the reference materials. For people who learn best by “doing,” EFT coaching may be a better way to experience this healing modality.

Single sessions are available, and a grouping of three sessions for individuals who would like to be coached through several issues is also available.
